Dr Fernandez-Ford worked in the NHS for over 20 years, with 10 years spent working in a specialist team completing neurodevelopmental diagnostic assessments for children and young people. She is highly specialised in this field of practice.
Whilst her availability is primarily on our ADHD assessment pathway, she is trained to complete and experienced in completing ASD diagnostic work. Dr Fernandez-Ford’s ‘CPD’ or continued professional development has included additional training on assessing the neurodevelopment of females.
Alongside her work with The Autism Service, Dr Fernandez-Ford currently works in a specialist residential school for children and young people with moderate to severe learning disabilities and ASD, providing assessment, consultation, and intervention.
