Dr Beesley-Gibson, a clinical psychologist, has worked clinically (assessment and therapy) with people who are neurodiverse in both the NHS and independent sector; she is also an experienced supervisor to her colleagues working this specialism.
In her work with The Autism Service, Dr Beesley-Gibson primarily leads on ADHD diagnostic assessments for children and adults, working alongside the multidisciplinary team of speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and nurses. She is trained to use and interpret a broad range of evidence-based diagnostic tools relevant to ADHD, and also ASD, and engages in regular continued professional development (CPD) in this area of practice.
Of note is Dr Beesley-Gibson’s CPD activities in relation to differentiating attachment disorders from neurodevelopmental needs and working in a neuroaffirmative way.
