ADHD Assessment

New to The Autism Service in June 2022 is our offering of ADHD assessments for children and adults. ADHD or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a common neurodevelopmental condition that is characterised by difficulties with inattention, impulsivity and hyperactivity.

When designing the assessment pathway, we wanted to create something that was on par with or more advanced than that offered by the NHS. This is important to us as we think a private assessment should be at least as good as that provided by public bodies. We have therefore joined up with Qbtech to be able to supply the award-winning QbTest, a computer-based objective test of symptoms relevant to ADHD.

  • The pathway, which is psychology led, consists of:
  • Pre-assessment pack sent to home and school
  • QbTest with detailed observations
  • Clinical interview using ACE and ACE+ with child and carer or person and informant
  • Review and interpretation of assessment data
  • Feedback and final report

The QbTest is currently only available from our Shrewsbury clinic and so the client must be able to travel to the clinic for this. All other appointments are completed online.

The fee for a diagnostic assessment for children and adults is £1750.

You will receive a full diagnostic assessment and outcome, using best available tools, and with the assessment led by a regulated psychologist.
