Face to face appointments at our Birmingham clinic
Originally starting out in Shrewsbury, The Autism Service has been delivering autism and ADHD assessments for both children and adults since 2019.
With over 60,000 people living with autism across the West Midlands, we recognised the need to supply face-to-face appointments at more locations. Waiting months for an autism or ADHD diagnosis can be stressful and opening our Birmingham clinic means private assessments are now more readily available.
Since launching our Birmingham presence in 2021, we’ve been able to increase regional capacity and carry out hundreds of assessments. With our full range of assessments available, we are able to carry out assessments for both autism & ADHD as well as combinations of the two. Crucially, all assessments are available for both children and adults.
Our clinicians deliver fast, accurate diagnostic assessments to identify whether an individual has ASD or ADHD.

How to find us
Our Birmingham clinic is located on the Hagley Road in Oldbury, a short distance from the city centre. We’re ideally situated if travelling to us via the M5, just a short distance from junction 3 but there are also plenty of public transport links from the city centre.
There is a waiting room for clients at the back of the building although there are many cafes and coffee shops nearby (our favorite is WestWood cafe!), as well as a number of local parks.

Birmingham clinic FAQs
Our Birmingham clinic is located in Edgbaston, a short distance from the city centre. If travelling to us via the M5, head into town along the Hagley Road (A456) and turn off onto the Harborne Road before you reach Five Ways roundabout. Alternatively, we’re close to both the Edgbaston Village metro stop and Five Ways train station.
Yes, there is free onsite parking for all visitors.
All rooms on the ground floor are wheelchair accessible, please call our friendly team who will be able to make the necessary arrangements when booking.

At our Birmingham clinic, we offer autism, ADHD and combined ASD/ADHD assessments for both adults and children. Whichever service you choose, you will receive a full face-to-face, NICE-compliant diagnostic assessment.
