About The Autism Service
Dr. Lisa Williams
Lead Clinical Psychologist
The Autism Service was set up in 2019 in response to feedback about existing services for people with ASD; children and adults were not able to access reliable assessments in a timely manner, nor were they able to access specialist interventions.
Initially launched in Shrewsbury, the service expanded nationwide within a year and now has teams of psychologists, nurses, speech and language therapists and occupational therapists working in locations across the UK to provide private healthcare.
The Autism Service is led by Dr Lisa Williams, a consultant clinical psychologist with over 14 years’ experience. She has worked in three different ASD teams in the NHS and has led on diagnoses for preschool children all the way through to older adults, both with and without a learning disability.
Lisa has clinical oversight of every child and adult seen by the service and is responsible for maintaining the high quality of the assessments and interventions.
